Nestled in the corner of the historic Market Square, a traditional looking pub with plenty of character. Now under the same ownership as the neighbouring George it is planned to return the Nelson to its previous status as one of the premier pubs in Oakham. Re-opened in January 2025 with limited opening hours which will be extended with food available from mid- March. Initially three cask ales are available, two regulars in Oakham Ales JHB & Fullers London Pride, supplemented by a further changing local ale - currently Grainstore TenFifty. Serves regular and changing real ales along with several craft offerings and local gins. Children and dogs are welcome.
