On the itinerary were
The George & Dragon, Seaton
The Coach House Inn, &
The Boot, South Luffenham
The Fox, North Luffenham
The Wheatsheaf, Edith Weston and a slight detour to visit
The White Horse, Empingham which has recently re-opened under new management.
A range of good beers were sampled across all establishments with Mad Goose from Purity served at The Boot being voted 'Beer of the Trip'.
The next survey trip is planned for 28th September and will be to the 'darkside', if you know, you know !
All welcome. - Local Brewers Q&A Session Saturday 22nd June 1pm
Saturday 22 June 2024
As part of our Entertainment program at this year’s festival we’re holding a Q&A session with our local brewers.
Dean Baker from Baker’s Dozen, Ed Sharman Head Brewer from Oakham Ales and Rory Gibson former Head Brewer at the Grainstore are kindly giving us an hour of their time to answer your questions about beer and brewing. Hosted by Tim Ives from the Pub Natter podcasts, the Q&A session will be from 1pm on Saturday 21st June.
This will undoubtedly be an interesting, educational and entertaining session and another great addition to our beer festival.
We will be taking a few questions from the floor, time permitting, but if you’ve got a question please email it to ku.gro.armac.dnaltur@riahc and Rich will award a beer related prize for his favourite question. - ****Festival Beer & Cider List****
