  • Autumn Pub of the Season Contenders Sunday 12 October 2025

    At the October branch meeting the top three pubs, having the highest beer quality scores awarded during July to September 2025, were announced.

    The top three pubs (in no particular order) are:
    Plough at Greetham
    Blue Bell at Belmesthorpe
    Wheatsheaf at Oakham

    Beer scores have taken them to the short list, but to win the POTS you are asked to consider the wider CAMRA criteria when casting your vote, namely:

    * Quality and Condition of the Product;
    * Promotion and Knowledge of the Product;
    * Cleanliness and Staff Hygiene;
    * Community Focus;
    * Service and Welcome;
    * Style, Decor and Atmosphere;
    * Sympathy with CAMRA's values; and
    * Overall impression and Value.

    Therefore, could I please ask as many of you as possible, in your own time, to visit the 3 pubs (don't rely on previous visits please), and make your vote for YOUR pub of the season.

    Please send your e-vote to me at ku.gro.armac.dnaltur@yraterces as soon as possible and no later than Friday 7th November so that the result can be announced at our branch meeting on Wednesday 12th November.

    Please let me have your name, CAMRA membership number and your (one) choice of pub. The more of you that vote, the more representative the result becomes (of course....).
